Kiteboarding
The conditions in the area are perfect for learning this exciting new sport. The wind is cross-onshore and constant. There is a large lagoon that due to the protection of a sandbar offers perfectly flat water. The windy season is between July and December during which the windspeed is usually 15-30 mph. At other times of year there is usually still enough wind to learn the basics and have some fun.
Adventures into the National Park.
We can arrange a boat to stay with you and take you to the best places out on the lagoon. There is a sandbar that protects the water fron the oncoming wind and swell providing perfectly flat water for enjoyable cruising or to practice any new tricks. With a short walk across the sandbar you can kite on the sea where there are more waves. There are also rainwater lagoons within the park itself that are suitable depending on wind and rainfall.
Lagoon Trip.
An adventure into the park to kiteboard on the lagoons is an unforgettable experience. The photos below are from lagoa de Rancho that we visited last year with two Norwegian kiters Kari and Eli. The lagoons vary in size depending on the time of year and rainfall (June-October being the best time of year to visit).
